Massey BIO:
Ian Culley, the Toronto-based producer, musician, and songwriter behind Massey, draws on his eclectic background in music to create an ethereal and boundary-pushing blend of Trip-Hop, Shoegaze and Electronica. Culley's past work in the group Kilmanjaro has also informed Massey’s mixture of underground electronic music elements within a song structure. Massey's soaring and haunting melodies and expansive soundscapes paint lush yet abstract pictures in the minds of his listeners over a backdrop of textured guitar riffs and driving percussive layers.
Culley's impressive career as a musician includes writing credits on Daniel Caesar's Juno-nominated Pilgrim's Paradise and Grammy-nominated, Juno Award-winning Freudian, including the Adult RnB #1 song "Get You" and others. Culley's live performance history has also included sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Alessia Cara, Charlotte Day Wilson, and more.
Massey released his debut EP Clean November, 2023 and accompanying music videos for singles Wither and Clean
about RYAN IS A DJ:
Ryan Macdonald is a DJ, drummer and producer based in Toronto, Canada. His experience as a drummer draws him close to all groovy things and his sensitivity allows him to connect with the audience to create cathartic dance-floor experiences.
His record collection spans all genres: from Trance to UKG from Turkish funk to Belgian Jazz or from Brazilian Acid-House to Steel-Pan Disco. Ryan is currently touring with Charlotte Day Wilson and has toured with acts like BADBADNOTGOOD and Tennyson, all over North America, Europe and the UK.
