Although I've previously starred in films made by the world's leading studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, I've decided to finance my new film, ROGER WODEHOUSE'S ANDROGYMNASIUM, via crowdfunding from my fans. This has allowed me to bypass the censorship so common in the studios ("You mustn't burn a cross on our soundstage," "There is no need for 3-year-olds to learn about geishas," "You cannot have a live tiger on set without its handler.") I’ve been working with the Highland Park clowns for the last few months and we’ve devised a show that’s going up May 16 and 22nd! It’s been a really exciting and rewarding process for me to get to direct and cultivate work with such a playful and hilarious group that has been doing this kind of work together for half a decade. To work on turning little intuitive bits and ideas into characters and pieces and now a whole integrated show. I’ve had a blast and I can’t wait for everybody to see what we’ve put together! The music video for my song Stop Dancing premieres in one week! The video tells a story of a dystopian future where the state has outlawed all dancing, a terrible decree which it enforces with its faceless dance police. I play multiple roles including Rebel Man and the Supercommander. Also, my enemy Marc Bolan told me I wouldn’t fit into my blue jumpsuit but I did and it fit perfectly. #musicvideo #glamrock #indiefilm
On a few occasions, the BBC insisted that I host one of their preferred ‘experts’ on my programme, such as a mapmaker from the #royalgeographicalsociety. But I did my best to make such appearances less boring for my child viewers, for example by encouraging this fellow to explore music.

Hey friends! I’m writing because, after well over a decade developing the character and world of Roger Wodehouse on stage, we’ve written a script and are making a movie. It’s called Roger Wodehouse’s Androgymnasium and it’s the story of the children’s show Roger made on the BBC in 1975, his magnum opus which effectively ended his career. And we’re making this thing independently and asking for you to be an investor. This is a labor of love in every way - born out of the Lost Moon Radio show we founded and staged for many years and then taking on a life of it’s own as a full band on stages since 2019. We’ve poured our joy and creativity into this project for a long time, and we are truly excited to be bringing what we think is a special piece of art to the big screen. Just this week over one-thousand of the biggest names in Hollywood signed a petition to block the Paramount deal because it will further water down and homogenize movies and tv. With corporate conglomeration and the advent of AI, it’s getting harder and harder to make unique and original movies. Roger Wodehouse’s Androgymnasium is just that kind of movie, and it’s also filled with original music which we plan to release as an album with the film.
