@ryanfitt came out and gave it his all. After talking to him this morning I learned this was his first time competing in an environment like this, and he learned a ton from it.
If this was his first time at a competition, I can’t wait to see the second time.

Hahahaha!!! Let’s see if I can still make it to champs lol! The right eye opal decided to become a bunch of small opals and in its self destruction threw severe cracks thru the rest of the head. I Dremeled the opal out and have spent the last few hours tediously healing the cracks from thru the eyehole with hydrogen…. Going to be a miracle if this thing looks anything close to as nice as it did. Gonna flip a handle thru the mouth and open up the neck to get in there and finish finding the cracks and with any luck I can put another opal in from the inside….. lots of extra work now and only 3 days to do it
Been fuckin with this python head, plenty of learning experiences trying to make this thing out of one seamless 5 layered piece of prep. Fingers crossed it survives the cool down, I want to see it all carved up with the scales and sensory pits on the nose!
