Kevin Scott (
@thekingseye ) is a bassist who has played with Wayne Krantz, Jimmy Herring, Donny McCaslin, John McLaughlin, Bernard Purdie, and most recently joined Gov't Mule in 2023. Originally from Dothan, Alabama — inspired by the late Colonel Bruce Hampton to move to Atlanta — he became a cornerstone of this city's music scene before taking his talents through New York, New Orleans, and now Nashville. A musician who thrives equally in structured sessions and freeform improvisation and has spent a career pushing the boundaries of jazz, rock, fusion, and experimental music.
