Ryan Lee (@ryanamaze ), our Rehearsal Director, is bringing his energy to SunDance this summer - teaching Improvisation & Composition and Modern Repertoire!
“Ryan Lee graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such companies as Human Body Expression, ProArteDanza, Toronto Dance Theatre, Kaeja d’Dance, Anandam Dancetheatre, inDANCE, The Chimera Project, Frog in Hand and TOES for Dance.
Much of this work included creating pieces for the stage and mentoring emerging artists. Ryan holds a faculty position at Centennial College, teaching Contemporary and Partnering courses and has been a lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University since 2020. He has been commissioned to make choreographic works by ProArteDanza, Anandam DanceTheatre, TMU, Dance Arts Institute, George Brown College, Branksome College, The Emerging Artist Intensive, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, Cawthra Park, Etobicoke School for the Arts and Rosedale Heights School for the Arts.
Ryan’s work has been presented at festivals such as Dance Ontario Dance Weekend, SummerWorks and dance:made in canada.”

Independent Dance Artist Ryan Lee graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He has made works for ProArteDanza, Anandam Dance Theatre, Toronto Metropolitan University, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Jorgen Dance/George Brown College, Centennial College, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre, Etobicoke School for the Arts and Rosedale School of the Arts. Ryan’s work has been shown at Dance Ontario and The Summerworks Festival. He is 1/3 of the Toronto based collective, The Platform.💛
Kelly Shaw is a BFA honours graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, and recipient of the University’s 2018 Jack McAllister award. She is a Tkarón:to/Toronto-based free-lance artist who has been a collaborator with several Toronto based dance companies over the past 15 years, including but not limited to; ProArte Danza, Cote Danse, Human Body Expression, Transcendance Project, Alysa Pires Dance Projects and Frog in Hand. She is a 2010, 2018 and 2024 Dora Mavor Moore nominee. She is a sought after dance educator and choreographer across Canada and also works in Film and Television; choreographing lately for Brilliant Minds (NBC), How to Die Alone (Hulu) and Star Trek (Strange New Worlds). 🌻
