For NADA NY 2026, Megan Mulrooney presents Windows, a group presentation bringing together artists who use the image of the window to explore how interior life meets the outside world. In these works, windows appear in many forms: escape routes from claustrophobic domestic spaces, frames onto distant landscapes, holes within derelict, abandoned buildings, or even the artist’s easel acting as a viewing device. Sometimes the window is literal, sometimes it is implied through framing and perspective. Across the presentation, the window becomes a simple but flexible structure through which artists consider kintimacy, memory, and place, as well as the ways a room can shape how the world beyond it is seen.
Included in the presentation will be new paintings by Tucson-based artist Ryan Dobrowski. Dobrowski earned a B.F.A. from the University of Oregon in 2002. After years as a touring musician, he settled in Tucson, where he now lives and works. Paying close attention to the relationship between color, form and surface, Dobrowski transforms elements from nature and simple human interactions into minimal images which express the lightness of being.

I first learned cribbage from my Grandpa who liked to make cribbage boards. My parents play almost everyday. It was the game Lauren and I played on our first date. If you don’t know how to play it’s pretty simple and I’d be happy to teach you. Cribbage 42x34” oil on linen
