Old one from my first time playing the troubadour. All the boxes of “A Light To Lead The Dark” CDs were arriving late to my apartment as I went onstage. So instead I’d brought some of my early homemade albums, relics that would live on to be your wedding songs and stolen goods from cars. Barely visible are my pink pants and the frame of a bass held upright by @erikkertes , what a huge part of my music & non-music life that dude has been despite this photo. Fun times finding memories. Thank you all for being part of this slow & steady path, wherever you’ve shown up on the timeline. I’ll always try to leave something good for you.

Thanks for listening to Who Watches The River, in which I hit the lowest note I can sing! This photo was taken the day we started unboxing arrangement possibilities. 2nd slide is the final iphone memo, when I knew it was ready to get moving. I gain so much on the way from where a song begins to where it grows. My hair got long. I love that nothing’s set in stone.
Tonight at midnight a cool new one gets added to the series. We’ve been dreaming up this music like they’re black & white movies. Eventually it’ll be part of a full album but I’ve been eager to share these first few with you.
Who Watches The River begins a string of new songs coming to you over the next couple months. This was an incredibly special one.
