The last post of our Japan 2026 trip, and the reason why we took the trip to begin with.... Shion and Ayana's wedding ❤️
On 2/28/26 I got to walk my not-so-baby brother down the aisle. The day was full of surprises (for me) as I was not expecting to walk him down the aisle. So so happy I got to be there, and so grateful that they let me play such important roles on their special day.
My brother and I went through a lot together. We were all that each other had when we first moved here to the US (I was 10 years old, he was 8) and we didn't speak English. We navigated the move together, grew up alongside each other, and supported each other through the unknowns. He lives in Japan and I live here but the distance has never stopped us from confiding, venting, and celebrating with each other.
Ayana, welcome to the crazy family that is the Yamashitas. She is the sweetest, cutest, Disney-loving sister-in-law I could've ever wished for. You truly make Shion happy and I am grateful to you and your family for welcoming Shion with open arms. I see a genuine smile and happiness in Shion when he is with you. Thank you for all that you are, all that you do, all that you will be, and for all the happiness you create!

Last leg of our Japan trip - Awaji Island. It's a small island off the coast of Hyogo, known for their sweet onions 🧅. Went around the island with my grandma and her friend Hidemi. We stayed in a very nice ryokan-style hotel with our private onsen on the balcony. Did all the things we were hoping for and ate everything we wanted! Such a pretty little island with so much nature and wildlife!
Got to spend some quality time with my aunt and uncle....sushi as our first meal in Japan, more sushi, late night drinking/karaoke, sightseeing in Hakone complete with crab dinner, and a beautiful wedding anniversary surprise ❤️
Naoko (my mom's younger sister) has always been like an older sister to me. My brother and I used to follow her around, and she took us with her to her dates, lol. It warms my heart that she and Yoichi have accepted and loved Ryan as their own. My brother and I didn't have cousins growing up, and she was the closest in age in the family. So grateful for her and Yoichi for all their love ❤️❤️❤️
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland Sea with my brother and sister-in-law ❤️ thank you @ayaminnie777 for literally everything from reservations to priority passes to ordering food/drinks to everything I usually handle at Disney. So happy and grateful to have a sister that understands my obsession for all things Disney.
Stayed at the Disney Celebration Hotel, Mira Costa Hotel, and Toy Story Hotel 🏰🧸🎠🎡👽
We were too busy in Japan to post anything....so here we go!
A day with my besties ❤️ 27 years of friendship and counting! Made candy, went to see a Planetarium show, walked around Tokyo Station area, and had dinner at a Hakata-themed Izakaya.
6/21/25 - ❤️💍 To say we had the best day is simply an understatement.

Had the honor of marrying @miumiu217 this weekend at @king_harbor_yacht_club – the greatest day filled with so many amazing family members and friends.
It also made for an epic birthday weekend!
Part 5 of Honeymoon: Ibiza
Our final stop of our 2 week European honeymoon! Another post coming soon to talk about why I was in London/Ibiza.....
For now, I'll say that I had the most relaxing and amazing time. The resort was nothing short of breathtaking with a balcony (and a bath tub) facing the beautiful, serene cliffs and the Mediterranean Sea. And the Mediterranean Sea was the clearest, most mesmerizing blue/emerald color. It was the perfect end to the most amazing honeymoon I could've ever wished for.
Next stop, HOME! And then our WEDDING ❤️💍
Part 3 of Honeymoon: Rome/Orvieto
I've always loved Italian food so Italy was obviously a necessary stop for this trip....and boy it did not disappoint! Ryan booked us a golf cart food tour, Vespa tour around Rome, and also a day trip to a small wine country called Orvieto. It was all a DREAM ❤️
Next stop, London to join @elevatebaby_ !!!!
