The Texas boys made it out the group chat! Do you know how much goes into getting some mediocre snow clips when you live in Texas!?

A year ago today, our lives got a whole lot darker. Watching Kado age so rapidly was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to go through. It feels like yesterday Ryan was sleeping on the floor in the living with him for over a month so he didn’t have to be alone. But today I want to remember our snuggy boy for all love he brought into Ryan’s life and then mine. Our best boy, our biggest protector, our son. He always just wanted to be where we were, he thought every party we threw was for him personally, and every toy was his most prized possession. The most adventurous, excited dog who loved to travel, swim, lay in the sun, roll in the grass, run at the cable park, but also was just as content (maybe even more so) to snuggle up on our bed or couch with us. He would always sneak onto the bed with me at night when Ryan would be out of town and take his spot. He was the most intuitive dog I’ve ever met in my life who felt what we felt, reacted how we reacted, and would always try and be a calm, protective presence in arguments or play fights. He was our shadow depending on who he felt needed him more. If one of us was ever sick in bed, he wouldn’t leave our side and would bark at whoever came in the room. He loved any and all food, was the master of stealing bread off the counter and eating the whole loaf and even ate a whole chocolate cake off the counter in Ryan’s college house from what I heard. Ryan also told me a story about how he opened the window at said college house after Ryan left for class one day and had a little rendezvous around the neighborhood and then let himself back in the window before Ryan got home. One of my favorite things about him is how much he made our little family of Ryan, me, Monkey, Molly & Ophelia into a little pack. He taught the other dogs how to howl when they had never done that before, and when they would hear Ryan’s bronco down the street after being gone at work, he would start howling (or we would call it singing) and all the other dogs would chime in and wouldn’t stop until Ryan came inside and greeted them all. Our family feels so beyond incomplete without him, and subsequently MJ too. We love you forever Mr. Man ❤️‍🩹

Big buck down! What a Christmas in South Texas at @rancho_nueces ! Still cannot believe how perfect everything worked out on this hunt. Unreal that I’m going to get to see this big boy in my office every day. Thank you so much to my in-laws Tanner, John, and David for putting me on this deer and giving me the opportunity to take him home! PS- it was about 90 degrees and I hunted from an elevated metal blind in full sun - it was hot

Today is our first anniversary. It’s been a year since my last post for our wedding, and by any measure it has been the worst year of my life. So much death and sadness and loss… I don’t like to put my feelings out in public, and I don’t have the words, but I know I would not have stayed on the rails if it was not for my beautiful and loving wife. Getting married to her has been the best thing to happen to me and by far the brightest memory of the past year. Now we’re in Italy for our anniversary and looking forward to better times to come. I love you Becca ❤️

Celebrating getting engaged two years ago today by finally posting the most beautiful wedding video made for us by @goldhairpin 🎞️ I cry every time I watch it still as it transports us right back to the love and magic that was engulfed by the reddest of rocks ❤️‍🔥

I married the love of my life almost 3 weeks ago and 10 photos does not do justice the party that was had and the magic that was felt over that weekend ❤️‍🔥 I don’t think Ryan or I could ask for better family and friends that have become family and I still get chills thinking about this weekend spent with everyone we love under the (almost) full harvest moon, stars, and red rock energy. We laughed, we cried, we partied like we were in college, we got tattoos of Ryan’s bronco, we sang, we danced and we loved. We loved so hard there should be another word for love because it just doesn’t feel like enough. I can’t wait to share more, but for now, we’re gearing up for round two tomorrow with the rest of our family and friends for our Austin reception. Anyone who knows me knows I love a party with no end in sight and our wedding celebrations are no different. So on that note, let the continued festivities commence ✨✨✨ With Love, The Joneses
