Last year I directed a music video for Vancouver artist @smallpapa for her new song STAY QUIET and at long last it is released! [link in my bio] [please check it out].
I was pretty much given free reign over the video and went with my gut as I listened to her song. I enjoyed directing shooting and editing it and am pretty pleased with how it came out. I hope you enjoy.
I’ll be posting some of the promos I cut together to my story over the coming days.
Thanks for the opportunity Lex(!) and also to my indispensable production assistant @k33333ly
Over the last year I finished 29 books (pitiful, I know). Because my taste for literature is so finely attuned it is often difficult to settle upon a paltry “top ten.” To compensate for my excesses however, the two extra books I’ve included here fit in with the whole as adjuncts and needn’t disrupt the sanctity of the overall gimmick.
Without further ado here are my Top 10 (12) Books of 2024 presented roughly in order of importance and enjoyment:
1. Deliverance, James Dickey, 1970
2. A High Wind in Jamaica, Richard Hughes, 1929
3. Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder, David McGowan, 2004
4. No Beast So Fierce, Edward Bunker, 1973
5. That Hideous Strength, C.S. Lewis, 1945
6. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Philip K. Dick, 1968
7. Annihilation + Interventions 2020, Michel Houellebecq, 2022 + 2020
8. Shadow & Claw, Gene Wolfe, 1994
9. Budōshoshinshu, Daidōji Yūzan, 1730 + The Unfettered Mind, Takuan Sōhō, 1644
