Bought a one way ticket to Vegas with less than a week notice after being invited to tryout for @slamballofficial
I didn’t know if I’d be home later that week or at the end of the Summer, knew no one heading into tryouts, had never been to Vegas before, and convinced myself I’d be ok to put my livelihood on pause at home
came back to Chicago just over 2 months later with memories that’ll last a lifetime and a brotherhood to match
Thank you @slamballofficial for reminding me to have fun, be a kid, step out of your comfort zone, and to get off the island!!
I’m grateful to have learned this beautiful chaos of a sport from the ones I watched on TV years ago, but really thank you to the entire @slamballofficial family for teaching me more about life
