When I filmed at Lennoxtown for Celtic TV a few years ago things didn’t go to plan. Everything we’d arranged didn’t materialise. We were probably 10 mins away from just scrapping the whole thing as the production team were finding it difficult to get some of the players on board.
The plan to get Scott Brown in to film first with the hope that the rest of the squad would eagerly follow afterwards was quashed when he got injured in training and was in no mood to film.
I said to one of the production team that I was cool with just pulling it if we couldn’t get any decent footage with first team players.
Just as we were about to pull the plug Craig Gordon walked in and we improvised on the spot. What you seen filmed was totally done on the spot.
He was an absolute gentleman, instantly likeable and couldn’t have been any more helpful. His input then encouraged some other players and staff to get involved and thus we were able to finish filming.
The team at Celtic TV said he was the nicest guy and easiest to work with and he definitely showed that with me that day. He was very humble and down to earth and up for laugh, despite the potential danger.
He handled it well and was very complimentary. He even took the time to say thanks to me for being there.
I’ll always remember that.
As well as this he was a terrific servant to a Celtic in his 6 seasons here. Some important saves & despite a few mistakes, he was our number one during one of the most successful periods in our clubs history.

Being a father is the greatest privilege a man can have in life. The day I carried Dusty Rose out of that hospital I knew our lives would never be the same again.
Being a parent has taught me so much in a short period of time: patience, appreciation, contentment, humility. I still have so much to learn.
Being a parent is only as easy as the person you share parenthood with.
@kyl.een is the most amazing mother to Dusty Rose and is the parent I aspire to be. You make being a Dad feel easy and natural as I follow your lead. I wouldn’t be the father I am without you.
You learn from role models in life. All the positive roles models I have in my life, my Dad, my Papa, my father-in-law, my brothers, my friends and colleagues. Every one has played a part in shaping me as a father, as a man and as a human being.
And then there’s our daughter, Dusty Rose. She’s given me so much happiness in 8 months I feel like I’ll forever be in her debt.
