Happy Dog Day Afternoon day! I’m so happy to announce the cover of my book BORN TO LOSE: THE MISFITS WHO MADE DOG DAY AFTERNOON, due out next spring from @headpress // On August 22, 1972, the Chase Manhattan on Ave. P in Brooklyn was held up by two men, and they took eight employees hostage for over 12 hours. The story of what happened that night was made into a film starring Al Pacino and directed by Sidney Lumet, and is still having an impact on audiences and folks related to the story 50+ years later. It’s too soon to preorder, but you can subscribe through my profile link for updates ~ ‘ ‘ ‘ #dogdayafternoon #headpress #alpacino #johncazale #sidneylumet #frankpierson #johnwojtowicz #lizeden #pierrehuyghe #rajafeatherkelly #francisfordcoppola #1970snewyork #sleepingallday #noircity #filmnoir #neonoir
