However the war on Ukraine and the war against transgender people in the United States makes talking about sport or art trivial.
I feel uncomfortable exploring what home and family means while transgender youth are are deprived of sanctuary and under constant attack in every US state.
The pain of these injustices can be paralyzing. And I have been feeling quite stuck. So I am working within this discomfort to move forward while using my privilege to elevate others.

I’ve been talking about starting a YouTube channel for years now. I’m posting this in-app AI edit as a place holder and to hold my self accountable. This is footage from the final day’s demos during last week’s class @theglassspot , using a new camera I bought on the way down.
A big thank you to Sarah, who took tons of footage that I’m currently working thru. We came up with a method for Sarah to shoot the YouTube stuff whilst she was also getting the good insta stuff, all while trying to learn a new camera and teach a class….I think we got some good stuff, all things considered. Day 3 of class @theglassspot . Putting together the elements we covered over the first two days. Everybody is here because they want to make goblets and generally most glassblowers focus too much on being the person sitting at the bench. Today is the day to realize you are only as good as your team and just because it’s not your turn in the bench doesn’t mean it’s not your turn. If you’re not in the bench it’s your turn to try to be the best assistant you can be.
Sam rode his new bike to the @mvagriculturalsociety Fair today and we took the @vta_mv back home to Vineyard Haven. 9.37 miles, pretty good for a 6 year old, made all the easier with his new @earlyriderbikes Belter 20……the bike infrastructure on this island, while not perfect, is wonderful. Add to that the topography and Martha’s Vineyard is a perfect place to learn how to ride a bike. #newbikeday
