The way the children, families and teachers of Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire have been treated is nothing short of disgraceful. A half-built shell of a building on Dominick Street, on hold while kids grow up and move on. I fought for this new building for fourteen years, we got the site, we got the funding, construction started, so it's bitterly disappointing that work on the site is now stalled. We need the government to get a move on with the new tender and get the building back on track. Is scoil iontach í GCM. I will keep fighting for this school until it’s delivered for Dublin Central. On May 22nd Vote Ruth O'Dea number 1

There's a half built school in Dominick Street - that's on the government. I campaigned for 14 years to get a new building for Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire and now the development is in limbo - a construction site with no work happening. It's a disgrace. If elected I'll make it my priority to get the new building across the line so the children and families of the north inner city have the top class school they deserve. On May 22nd Vote Ruth O'Dea 1 #DublinCentral

I love the diverse community and areas across Dublin Central. I’ve always seen the best in people, but too many people aren’t getting a fair crack of the whip in our city. I’ve been a community activist for decades, working to get people what they’re entitled to. That’s why I’m running in this election. Join my campaign to get involved in building a fairer city for everyone.

I’d like to clear something up that I’ve been getting on the doors a lot... Yes, I am related to Jimmy O’Dea! He was my great uncle and a wonderful performer that touched the hearts of so many. Ireland has always been known for its rich arts culture, but these days it can feel harder than ever to make a living as an artist. To honour our legacy of past Irish artists, we need to support the next generation of them. Jimmy’s passion for the arts lives on inside of me, and I will continue to fight for artists of all kinds if elected to represent Dublin Central in Dáil Éireann.

Friendly. Ask anyone outside of Ireland to describe the Irish, and it’s the word that comes up time and time again. But with the rise of anti-immigrant sentiment, we’re beginning to lose that welcoming nature that once defined us. I helped set up Drumcondra For All because I wanted to tackle this problem. Migrants need to be met with compassion. With empathy. With supports in terms of education and work. A warm welcome turns strangers into friends. I hope you’ll stand with me and do the same.

Migrants aren’t statistics. They’re people like you and me, who want the exact same things we do. A place to live, food on the table and a feeling of safety. I helped set up Drumcondra For All to welcome migrants, to build connections with them and make them feel included in our communities. They deserve support and empathy, and that’s what I will bring to Dáil Éireann.

What would a government TD do for Dublin Central that Paschal Donohoe has already failed to do? A half built school and enormous levels of deprivation are nothing to be proud of. If you want real change for Dublin Central, vote Ruth O’Dea number 1 next Friday.

Back to back appearances on RTÉ today. It was great to be on David McCullagh this morning and I’ll be back on RTÉ this evening during the 6.1 sharing my thoughts on the cost of living, housing and public safety within Dublin Central. Please tune in and show your support.

It's time to tackle vacancy and dereliction‼️ There's 40 properties on the derelict sites register in Dublin Central. You'd be able to snap up 40 properties in one morning if Government were serious about tackling this issue. It's not a silver bullet but having derelict properties in the middle of a housing crisis is a scandal!
