Ah the sweet 80s outlines. The boards from 86-89 had it right. Wider outlines, flat decks, full rails. Forgiving, fast and fun. That was Before the lost years of the 1990s with its hyper-narrow, hyper-rockered and embarrassingly thin boards had average surfers suffering for a few years. Luckily we are living in a “ride everything” era and for that we are thankful.
