Today was all about tracing the thread from inspiration to final product.
I’m still thinking about the transformation of a vintage poncho into a contemporary rug. Seeing the original sketches next to the finished weave makes you realize that good design is just a very long, very thoughtful conversation with history.

Day 2 at India Design ID — this time, with intent.
Went in especially to hear @devikas_atelier moderate @zafar.habitat , @alex_dornbracht and @pierrearnaud_cassin on building legacies in the era of globalisation. It wasn’t spectacle — it was substance. A nuanced, quietly provocative unpacking of what it really means to build something that endures.
Post-panel, I slowed down. Spent time with the works of @peterdascoli , @rayvie , @ashieshshahatelier and @houseofkatachi — the pieces I missed yesterday. Layered narratives, material depth, thoughtful restraint.
Day 1 was about seeing.
Day 2 was about understanding.

India Design ID days are basically walking editorials.
From the lush upholstery at @saritahanda to @aadyamhandwoven handloom stories, @cocoonfinerugs underfoot and @takeonart thoughtful curation — every turn felt layered.
@objects.inspace went monumental with sculptural jewellery, @thewickerstory kept the weave language fresh, and Glass Forest’s jungle light moment… quietly stole the show.
Left inspired, slightly overwhelmed, and mentally redesigning everything.

Still carrying the energy from a beautiful weekend in Hyderabad !!
Design Democracy 2025 felt less like an event and more like a celebration of ideas — where every corner surprised me with textures, materials, and stories woven into design.
From the soulful prints of @aadyamhandwoven to the striking pavilion by the ever-visionary @supraja_rao from contemporary stone explorations to poetic paper art at @kadariartgallery — it was inspiring to see how India is reimagining craft in such bold, modern ways.
The highlight for me was watching my childhood friend @rajatoberoi07 unveil his new @aluminrworld collection — crafted metal doors that looked like pieces of art. Moments like these make design feel so personal 💫
And between all the visual magic, I loved listening to conversations — especially the panel moderated by my mentor @devikas_atelier , on where residential design is headed next.
A weekend full of inspiration, friendship, and new ideas to carry forward 🌿
