CELLO FALLS FROM TREETOP
while climbing up a sketchy psuedotsuga macrocarpa up in the mountains to do a little set, my bow fell to the ground. i found a big bumpy dead branch to use instead which worked for awhile but eventually snapped my bridge mostly off leaving only 1 1/2 strings playable, so i tried "one more song" pizzicato style. considering a) the difficulty already experienced maneuvering with the cello through such dense flimsy branches, b) the sloped bushy landing and c) my dreams, i decided to let the cello take the ultimate shortcut! it landed completely unscathed and was retrieved with maximum delight, the amp still works too
i set off the crow alarm atop a cypress
above the $20million houses on carmel beach
it was quite an intense climb. 4 uptight ladies on the bench got a free show of some of my most advanced tree maneuvers, swinging stretching and sliding- but they were very unstoked. people in carmel need to lighten the flark up man!! ive wanted to climb that one for years. often at the tops of trees crows start cawing circling increasing in number and diving at me. its quite a thrilling experience
bowing with a branch right before cello fall
to see how i climbed up there with it you can look up "climbing a 60ft fir tree with a cello" on my yüutüube or bink in my lio for a dip in Thunukas #tree #climbing
