Wow. Words can't quite describe how brutal, challenging, painful, and ultimately rewarding last weekend truly was. So maybe these images and the numbers below can help tell the story. Bikes are loaded up, the gear is packed and we're on our way to the Shenandoah Valley! The Shenandoah Epic is a team race that spans just about 100 miles over rugged terrain, and consists of multiple legs of trekking, mountain biking, and canoeing on the river. In addition, there's a large component of orienteering and strategy that requires us to locate checkpoints along the way. Finally, the entire team has to travel together the entire time, and we have 24 hours of non-stop racing to complete the mission. Our team name is "Blood, Sweat, and Beers", and is made up of Trevor Frye, Josh Mazza, Frank Wilson and myself. Official go-time is 9am tomorrow, at which point I will be off grid until hopefully completing the race Sunday morning. And you can track our team's progress with this link! Blood Sweat and Beers is team 402!!

We’ve found a lot to celebrate recently. My gratitude for the joy, hope and resilience of the people around me has continued to grow year after year. This past week, in the glow of the spectacular celebration of @brynn_katzen & @fwilson12 - my great love Aliya and I marked our 15th wedding anniversary. Still overflowing with love. Much more to come. 📸: @trevorpfrye
