Across our nation and in New Jersey, countless immigrant families have been impacted by ICE enforcement. We are raising our voices in solidarity and demanding dignity, safety, and justice for immigrant communities.   This moment sits at the intersection of youth, education, and immigration. When immigrant students’ safety and access to education are threatened, our collective future is at stake. Young people are organizing to defend the right to learn, grow, and thrive free from fear.   Join us for a youth-led community gathering standing against harmful detention and enforcement practices carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Everyone is welcome.   📍 Red Bank Train Station 🗓 Saturday, February 28 ⏰ 1:00–3:00 PM

They say politics is just a game, that the only thing that matters is winning. Normally I would disagree. I think politics is about doing everything we can to make life better for working people. But not today. Join us and our partners @progressivevictory , @beyondballott , @genzforchange , and @ruprogressive for a day of canvassing and board games and see who the real winners are ahead of Election Day on June 2. RSVP link in bio.

EMERGENCY CALL TO ACTION! Join us on Monday, 5/11 at 3:30 PM between BSC and PRCC to protest the removal of Rami Elghandour as the Rutgers School of Engineering convocation speaker due to his advocacy for Palestine. The School of Engineering, specifically Dean Alberto Cuitiño, broke its commitment to Elghandour and removed him as a speaker following “concerns” raised by Zionist students over his vocal support for Palestinians. This decision demonstrates Rutgers’ willingness to censor advocacy for Palestinian human rights in order to protect Zionist interests, and reflects a broader pattern of anti-Palestinian racism on campus. Show up and demand that Rutgers reinstate Elghandour and uphold its stated commitments to equality, ethics, and free expression. Graduating seniors across all schools are encouraged to wear their cap and gown!

Join us at the Board Of Governors Public Comment Section, help us fill the room! On Wednesday April 23 at 1pm we will be gathering at Winants Hall in New Brunswick for a brief rally before the 1:30pm Public Comment Section of the Board of Governors meeting. These meetings of the biggest decision-makers at Rutgers are barely advertised, meaning the Board of Governors is not used to seeing students, faculty, or staff show up! Let’s change that- join us to fill the room, we will have speakers talking about the Sanctuary Campus and Drop ICE demands! We will be showing up in solidarity with each other across many organizations at Rutgers!  Rutgers has contracts with Enterprise Rental Cars, Hilton Hotels, GlobalX Airlines, and Target – four companies that are ICE’s primary corporate collaborators. Our university should not be using the same cars, hotels, planes, and resources that sustain ICE’s ability to kidnap our neighbors and threaten our communities. Rutgers, Drop ICE collaborators now!

If I start yapping about our volunteers, I fear I won’t be able to stop so let me just say from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. We wouldn’t be on the ballot, wouldn’t be building a movement that could win, and wouldn’t be as hopeful as we are about the possibility of change without you. I hope you’ll join us at the next canvass. Comment CANVASS to find a shift near you.

Over the past 2 years, Rutgers has shamelessly kept its ties with privately owned weapons manufacturers. Of its over $2 billion endowment fund, 34.6% is put towards its public equities portfolio, channeling money into a multitude of corporations whose weapons enable colonial violence. This includes Lockheed Martin, L3 Harris, and Northrop Grumman. Rutgers regularly hosts these weapons manufacturers on campus, funneling students into these companies to further the goals of the U.S. military-industrial complex. These same corporations produce the missiles, aircraft, and weaponry used in the massacres we witness daily on our phones. From the genocide in Gaza to the violent attacks in Iran and Lebanon, we as students cannot stay silent while our university remains tied to and profits from systems that drive widespread destruction and human suffering. Join us at Buccleuch Park, off of College Ave, at 3:00 PM on Thursday 4/2 to take a stand against the widespread destruction that Rutgers invests in. We demand that Rutgers divest financially and materially from Lockheed Martin, L3Harris Technologies, and Northrop Grumman, and terminate its grants, collaborations, partnerships, and on-campus hosting with these companies.
