MY FIRST 42.2 // Ljubljana Marathon šŸ‡øšŸ‡® It feels right to finally give this its own space on my grid, especially on the 26th given my slight 26-mile obsession this year 🤪 Back in October, I ran my first ever marathon. I chose to do it in Slovenia, where my mum is from, where my family still live, and a place that has always felt incredibly special to me. This one was never just about 42.2 kilometres. It was family time with my mum and her family, with a very special mention for my babica 🄰 One of my cousins even came out to support on the course. It was a shakeout run with Ljubljana Run Club. Picking up my very first marathon bib at the expo, which felt completely surreal. Laying everything out the night before and quietly wondering if I was really ready. It was running through a beautiful autumn Ljubljana, with the mountains always in the background. Crossing that finish line. Sending the medal selfie to everyone who had supported me. And of course, the dragon šŸ‰ A symbol of Ljubljana, now hanging from a ribbon that marks my first marathon. The next morning, Mum and I hiked up RaÅ”ica like we always do when we visit. Slightly sore, slightly slower, but strangely convinced it helped my legs recover. Doing my first marathon there felt important. I really wanted to enjoy it, especially knowing London was on the horizon, so it was also proof to myself that I could cover the distance. I eased back in the second half, first marathon equals automatic PB anyway šŸ˜‰ which gives me a little extra scope to chase something in London. Now… back to the training 🫣 @ljmaraton @ljubljanarunclub #LjubljanaMarathon #FirstMarathon #MarathonJourney #RunTrackPlan #roadtolondon2026

INK & MEANING // My Tattoo Story šŸ–‹ļø I’ve always loved tattoos that mean something to me — not for other people to understand, but for me to know my why. šŸ•Šļø 2017: Flight
My first tattoo. Inspired by an illustration from the Flight series by @hellovon , but to me it represents my dad. He used to create model plane kits — his own little family of ā€œfinchesā€ — and this was my way of carrying him with me when I walked down the aisle. It still means everything. 🌸 Peonies: Proof I can
This one marks a season of growth. Not just physical change, but discipline, consistency, and realising I was capable of more than I’d told myself. Peonies symbolise healing and feminine beauty…and they’ve always just been a flower I’ve loved. Now they’re a constant reminder of strength and self-belief. ⚔ Lightning bolt: Strength
Right next to my watch strap so I see it often. Inspired by an absolutely incredible woman @nicknacklou and her mantra to ā€œgo grab life.ā€ It reminds me to be brave, to live fully, and that I can do hard things. šŸ‡øšŸ‡® Carnation & rosemary: 42.2km
My most recent. For completing my first marathon in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where my mum is from and a place that remains incredibly special to me. Carnations and rosemary symbolise love and devotion, which felt fitting. A quiet nod to family, heritage, and the determination to run a marathon. There are a few more tattoos I could have included (an ampersand for marriage, a bee for my mum, a calligraphy nib for my business) — but these four felt right for today. Some tattoos are art. Some are memories. These are milestones. šŸ’š And if this has you thinking about your own meaningful ink… there’s a little charity raffle running this month šŸ‘€šŸ’š All done by @justjoe_tattoo at @roguetattoowindsor #tattoostory #womenwithtattoos #inkwithmeaning #runningtattoos #milestonemoments

SYSTEMS THAT STICK // Meal Planning Since 2016 šŸ““ I’ve been bullet journalling since 2016, and this is one page that has never disappeared. The layout has evolved over the years. My handwriting definitely has too! …and, more importantly, so has my mindset around food. What started as something that didn’t quite feel right slowly became a system that genuinely works for me. Each week, before I plan any meals, I look at my monthly cycle plan first. Long run? Hard session? Recovery days? That usually guides what I need to prioritise, and I build the week’s meals around that. Not perfectly and not rigidly — just with intention. Other spreads come and go depending on the season I’m in, but this page has become a ritual. It keeps the week structured, makes the shopping list simple, and takes the mental load out of ā€œwhat’s for dinner?ā€ Could probably create this page in my sleep these days 🤣 šŸ““ @leuchtturm1917 šŸ–‹ļø @tomsstudio #bulletjournalmealplan #mealplanner #bulletjournalinspiration #leuchtturm1917

GRID SYSTEM // Running Edition šŸƒā€ā™€ļø One of my favourite Christmas gifts this year was this peg board from @blockdesign
Basically my bullet journal… but on the wall. Grid layout āœ”ļøā€ØSpace to track current PBs āœ”ļøā€ØMedals hung with pride āœ”ļøā€ØOne very hard-earned @langleypark_5ksummerseries default age category trophy on the shelf 🤣 āœ”ļø I love seeing it all visually. It’s a reminder of where I’ve been, and what I’m building towards. Which brings me to today… London Winter 10K 2026 ā„ļøšŸŒ§ļø #WinterRun I ran this race last year and set my 10K PB. So naturally I turned up this morning wondering if I could beat it. Nope šŸ˜‚ā€ØCold. Relentless rain. Character-building conditions. BUT. Same race.
Same polar bear.
Same t-shirt and shoes.
(Upgraded the shorts and socks with @bimbleandbolt though - growth šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø) I love the medal (giant 26 on the ribbon which feels very on brand right now šŸ‘€) thanks @winterrunseries ! Every race right now is part of the bigger picture.

CALENDEX SYSTEM // 2026 This is my favourite way of future planning in my bullet journal āœļø The calendex system, created by Eddie Hope, gives you the whole year at a glance. When something comes up, I add it to a ā€œfuture eventsā€ section of my current monthly spread, then put that page number onto the relevant date here. When I’m creating new monthly spreads, I can refer back to my calendex - and it also gives a great overview of the year. I’ve tweaked the original system slightly by lining up the weekends and highlighting them, which works really well for my brain. And I can’t quite believe it’s only the end of January and it’s already filling up… And in case you’re interested, this is the notebook I’ve chosen for 2026…the ever-faithful @leuchtturm1917 (120g edition) in Forest Green šŸ’šā€ØVery intentionally chosen this year to match the @anthonynolancharity colours, which felt fitting! #calendex #futureplanning #bulletjournal2026 #leuchtturm1917 #bulletjournalinspiration

šŸŽ‰ 3 HOURS ON THE TREADMILL // Charity Garden Party edition šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ’š On Saturday I took on a slightly different kind of challenge… running on a treadmill for 3 hours at The Grange Garden Party to raise funds for Anthony Nolan ahead of the London Marathon 2026. The banner only arrived with 45 minutes to go (better late than never 🤣), but with dancers and musicians performing right in front of me, I had the best entertainment while clocking up the miles. Thanks to everyone who came over to say hi, cheer, or donate — together we raised Ā£156! Extra love to my sister for being my voice while I was running, my mum for helping set up, and my wonderful running friends who came to cheer me on (and keep me moving!) šŸ’› If you’d like to support my marathon journey for Anthony Nolan, the link is in my bio — every donation makes a difference. #RunTrackPlan #LondonMarathon2026 #MarathonTraining #AnthonyNolan #FundraisingChallenge #RunningCommunity #CharityRunner #TreadmillChallenge

26 MILES FOR MY DAD // LONDON MARATHON 2026
On the 26th of April 2026, I’ll be running 26.2 miles in memory of my dad, and I’m incredibly proud to be doing it for @anthonynolancharity When my dad was diagnosed with MDS and then AML in 2013, we came across Anthony Nolan while researching treatment options. I signed up to the stem cell register that same year, and now, more than a decade later, I get to run in his memory, wearing their name across my chest. It still doesn’t feel real that I’ll be lining up on the start line of the London Marathon. But this campaign, my 26 for 26, is officially live. I’m aiming to raise Ā£2,600 to match the miles, the date, and the cause that means so much to me. The link’s in my bio if you’d like to read more or support 🄰 Every step is for him. ✨ And watch this space ~ there’ll be some 26-themed activities and challenges along the way too! PS: Couldn’t resist posting this on the 26th. It just felt right! #RunTrackPlan #LondonMarathon2026 #AnthonyNolan #RunningForDad #MarathonTraining #26for26 #EveryMileForMyDad #BloodCancerAwareness #WomenWhoRun #MarathonJourney #ThisIsMyWhy

100 PARKRUNS // milestone day and support crew šŸŽ‰ Last Saturday I celebrated my 100th @parkrunuk at Sandhurst Memorial—and what a way to mark the milestone! šŸ–¤ Yes, I wore the 100 tee before I’d technically earned it (with a little help from a friend), but don’t worry—it’s official now! And my @nextnotch charm arrived this week and is already on my keyring. Can’t wait to add my first marathon notch next… šŸ‘€ But I’m getting a little ahead of myself there! The numbers geek in me couldn’t help but love the rest of the day too:ā€Øāœ”ļø 100th parkrunā€Øāœ”ļø Supporting my amazing friend running 100km at Race to the Stonesā€Øāœ”ļø At Sandhurst’s 200th parkrun event (100 + 100… perfect!) It was a full-on day—from my 5K finish to cheering in Avebury—but the perfect way to celebrate. And now I’m ready to wear my, now official, 100 tee at my local parkrun tomorrow! As always, my bullet journal captured it all—part planner, tracker, and memory keeper—with a few mini prints stuck in for good measure. šŸ–ŠļøšŸ“ø #RunTrackPlan #100Parkruns #ParkrunTourism #RaceToTheStones #NotchCharms #RunningMilestone #BujoforRunners #BulletJournalScrapbook #WomenWhoRun #RunningAndPlanning #ParkrunLove #ParkrunJourney #BulletJournalForFitness #BulletJournal #planning #parkruntracker #bujolayout #moderncalligraphy #leuchtturm1917 #instaxmini

šŸ›« PARKRUN TOURISM // Netherlands edition šŸ‡³šŸ‡±ā€Ø Two weeks ago today, I ticked off a bonus Parkrun for Whit Monday in the Netherlands—part of a long weekend of running, exploring, and ticking off some Parkrun tourism goals with friends. Before our bonus run, we ticked off a ā€˜Z’ at @zegerplasparkrun on Saturday (hello, Parkrun alphabet!). Afterwards, we explored Gouda with the brilliant @collectedstoriesgouda , climbed a windmill (mildly terrifying, very worth it!), and had a long run around Zuiderpark on Sunday—even though the Parkrun there was cancelled, we still got the miles in our own way. We also squeezed in a trip to the Kinderdijk windmills and a quick stop in Rotterdam to see the bridge. Monday’s bonus Parkrun was at @delftsehoutparkrun , followed by a wander around beautiful Delft in the sunshine! As always, I logged the trip in my bullet journal, which I use as part planner, part scrapbook—with a few Instax snaps stuck in for good measure. šŸ–ŠļøšŸ“ø #RunTrackPlan #ParkrunTourism #ParkrunAlphabet #BonusParkrun #ZForZegerplas #DelftseHoutParkrun #RunningAndPlanning #BulletJournalScrapbook #BujoforRunners #WomenWhoRun #parkruntourist #parkrun #calligraphy #calligraphyjournal #leuchtturm1917 #instaxmini

CYCLE-BASED PLANNING // Here’s how I plan my running and training sessions: not by week or month, but by cycle. Since July 2022, I’ve been using the hormonal shifts across my period cycle—especially changes in oestrogen levels—to guide how I train and fuel using a carb cycling approach. In higher oestrogen weeks, my carb and workout days are more frequent; when oestrogen is lower, I space them out more. Strength and HIIT sessions always land on those higher carb days, and I plan my runs around this rhythm—making sure long runs always get the fuelling they need, no matter where they fall. It’s definitely not a perfect science, and plans do move around—while I love a clean layout, my spreads are first and foremost a tool, not artwork. I just started a new cycle this week, so here’s my fresh June plan. šŸ’ŖāœØ Let me know if you’d like to hear more about how I structure this—happy to dive into it more! Not professional advice—just a personal system that’s worked for me so far. #RunTrackPlan #BulletJournalFitness #CycleSyncing #RunningAndPlanning #PeriodCyclePlanning #CarbCycling #Bujofit #TrainingWithMyCycle #MarathonTraining #WomenWhoRun #MindfulTraining #BulletJournalForFitness #BulletJournal #planning #RunningAndPlanning #bujolayout #bujoinspiration #moderncalligraphy #syncwithyourcycle

Hi šŸ‘‹ I’m Kat, and welcome to @RunTrackPlan —my space for documenting the miles I run, the pages I plan, and the purpose behind both. Bullet journaling has been part of my life since 2016—it brought together my love of planning and my creative side as a graphic designer, and it’s what first sparked my obsession with calligraphy. These days, it’s how I organise everything from training to mindset to… well, life! In 2022, after a difficult few years (hello, pandemic weight gain), I decided to make a change. I managed to lose 6.5 stone—and while I’m now more focused on running performance than weight loss, I’m learning how to stay strong, consistent, and kind to myself in the process. I’m training for my first marathon this October… and fingers crossed, the London Marathon in 2026 for a charity that’s close to my heart. As it’s #GlobalRunningDay, today felt like the perfect time to start sharing. If you’re into running, planning, or using small steps to build something meaningful—I’d love to have you along for the ride. šŸ–ŠļøšŸ‘ŸšŸ’› #RunTrackPlan #globalrunningday #marathontraining #bulletjournalforfitness #bulletjournal #bujo #planning #RunningAndPlanning #26in26 #RunningJourney #ThisIsMyWhy #calligraphy #bujocalligraphy #womenwhorun #runhappy #bujofitness #leuchtturm1917 #creativeplanning #bujoinspiration #moderncalligraphy
