Congratulations to a record-setting Marathon Weekend The top 3 B.A.A. High Performance men were Murphy Smith: 2:08:52 (under previous B.A.A. record); Robert Mirada: 2:09:40 (also under previous BAA record); and, Barry Keane: 2:13:01, winning the overall team competition by 26 minutes.  Top 3 women: Courtney Hawkins: 2:49:30; Mikaela Lucki: 2:54:07; Lauren Cummings: 2:54:53.    Karolyn Bowley placed 2nd in the women’s 55-59 age group. The club had 115 finishers in the marathon and 164 in the 5K.

Boston Marathon weekend did not disappoint! BAA Highlights included: 🦄The BAA Open Men’s Team won the Boston Marathon team championship by over 26 minutes. They were led by Murphy Smith in 2:08:58, Robert Miranda in 2:09:40 and Barry Keane in 2:13:01 🦄Murphy Smith’s time of 2:08:58 is the fastest time ever run by a BAA Athlete 🦄BAA’s Open women’s team finished 5th, led by Courtney Hawkins in 2:49:30 🦄BAA’s Masters Men were 9th, led by Larry Aller in 2:41:12 🦄BAA’s Masters Women were 10th, led by Karolyn Bowley in 3:03:32 🦄Karolyn Bowley was 2nd for women 55-59 in the Boston marathon running 3:03:32 🦄Mae Shoemaker ran her 36th consecutive marathon 🦄Brian Foley ran his 36th consecutive Boston Marathon 🦄Adam Sulkowski ran his 27th consecutive Boston Marathon 🦄Michael McGrane ran his 25th consecutive Boston Marathon 🦄Amanda Watters ran her 22nd consecutive Boston Marathon 🦄Issac Basten was 2nd in the BAA Invitational Mile in 4:06.9 🦄Brooke Mullins was 12th in the BAA Invitational Mile in 4:49.44 🦄James Mwaura was 10th in the Boston 5k in 13:45 🦄Alexandra Lucki was 13th in the Boston 5k in 16:09 Congrats to all who represented the BAA so incredibly well this weekend! 💙💛🦄
