Top Drawer? Completed it mate. Getting to hang out with cardy buddies and put my work in front of such brilliant buyers and retailers made every bit of prep stress worth it. The grin in this pic is a mix of excitement after a record-breaking day and relief that everyone got such a kick out of the new designs. This was my biggest stand yet, and seeing it filled wall-to-wall with my ever-growing card collection was equal parts surreal and motivating. Safe to say ideas for future launches are already brewing 😂 Three things I’m taking into the next show: 1️⃣ Order samples early. It’s never too early. And if something is 98% right, do not recycle it until the replacements are safely delivered! 2️⃣ Admire other designers’ work without comparison paralysis — yes, there was incredible artwork, embossing, cold foil, die-cuts and neon UV everywhere… and buyers still sought out my stand and loved what I presented. 3️⃣ Be ready with a better brand backstory! I love that people recognise the name and connect with it — next time I’ll have an origin story to match 🏃✂️ Already counting down to PG Live and Harrogate! ❤️

I meant to post one of those 2025 round-ups, but packing Valentine’s orders and prepping to launch new collections at @topdrawerlondon has taken over most of my betwixtmas days. So instead, this is a massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s helped get me here and made this year so unbelievable! 2025 has been more than I could have hoped for at @runningwithscissorsdesign — from meeting brilliant buyers, retailers and creators at Top Drawer, @progressivegreetings and the @gca_uk Dragons event; working with @thelondonstudio on some truly exciting projects; making the finals of The Henries; sending cards out to wonderful new stockists, indie shops and High Street legends; and connecting with so many people I genuinely admire on here. A couple of weeks ago a taxi driver asked what I do for a living, and instead of my usual vague stutter about design or sales, I said — for the first time ever: “I run a greeting card business.” And that felt pretty bloody brilliant. ✨ #roundup #2025 #thankyou #smallbusiness #greetingcards
