I made a very last minute decision to do another 60k @innsbruckalpine two weeks after MIUT, ‘for fun’ and because I thought a direct comparison between the two would be an interesting way to discover my strengths over the distance. Genuinely couldn’t believe my coach went along with this idea.
It was fun. I finished 95 minutes quicker than @miutmadeira and managed to spend the whole race in 2nd behind @abby.k.hall (I enjoy how that implies I was close to her).
More importantly I got to see the moments that actually make memories special: @frankiewray crushing her first trail race, a mega 2nd place in the 100k by @lisaxmehl and emotional finishes from @mme_marie_paris and @michiknoche 🖤
Now I’m stoked to get back to doing some training.

sunrise season, getting ready to race in April.
Not to rub it in but March was basically only about long hot hilly runs. Not a rep to be seen. The training months I live for 🔥⛰️
kicking off 2026 with a race close to home with @freedom__racing . What I thought would be a shorter / faster race, before turning my focus back to the longer, more mountainous races outside the UK. The conditions had other ideas, but we pushed through.
Excited to be healthy, focused and ready to get after it. Good to start the year on home trails.
