Had a blast volunteering and running the Spartan Super race this weekend! 💪 (6.2 miles + 25 obstacles)
Love making new friends along the way and got to hear a song that one of the guys on staff wrote and sung himself! (I think he’s insanely talented and want proof I knew him before he became famous! 🎶)
Looking to complete the Spartan trifecta by running the Beast distance (13.1 miles) later this year. Stay tuned….

One year ago today my dear friend Rita finished her race here on earth and went to be with Jesus in heaven ❤️
We used to run races together so thought it would be fitting to honor her by running a Spartan race today. I miss you my friend and thanks for giving me so many fun memories to think through as I ran this morning 😊
Her life verse was:
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9

I jokingly call them my “holy hype girls,” but truly these women show up every time ready for real conversation, honest questions, and deep love for Scripture. Tonight was my favorite conversation we’ve ever had. So rich. So vulnerable. So alive.
We finished John 16 tonight, the end of the discourse, leaving Jesus and His disciples on the edge of the Kidron Valley, walking toward the garden. Next week we step into His prayer in John 17, and it is unlike any week I’ve written before. I am genuinely looking forward to praying it alongside these women all week.
I love these girls. I love their perspectives, their stories, their faithfulness, and how simply reading the Bible together keeps changing my life. It is my favorite thing.
And I have loved hearing about the other groups too. Just check out Debbie's set up for her group as they lingered in John 13! I loved hearing about the Georgia group kick off last week and I can't wait for Friday to be around some wise women that are pouring into me with their experience and encouragement. I know there are more of you out there, and I am so thankful you are part of this.
This passage has quickly become one of my favorites in all of Scripture. This private conversation we are allowed to witness. John writing it decades later, watching every promise unfold, every prediction come true, all pointing back to a Savior who knew what He was doing and promised to stay, to send a Helper, and to make a home with us.

•Got to go to one more basketball game with my dad at my alma mater Trinity Christian College where I was part of the only team to ever go to NAIA Nationals for the Women’s Basketball program in ‘07 🏆
•The college where I had coaches and teammates who boldly shared Jesus with me that God would use those seeds to later bring salvation to my life 🙌

•Got to walk this beautiful campus one more time tonight, under the night sky, light flurries and not a soul in sight where every step I took brought back a flood of wonderful memories from my 4 years there ❤️
•My heart is saddened that at the end of the school year they will be closing their doors forever.
•But forever will I cherish my time, the friends, teammates and coaches that I had there.

God gave me an amazing opportunity to go on a mission trip with Lori and Rachel to Kajo Keji, South Sudan last week through @empower_one !
They held a 3 day women’s conference to help build and equip female leaders that over 90 women from many different tribes came to attend!
I got to teach on a couple topics, lead some exercise classes (💪), join them in going to the community to share Jesus with their neighbors, dance til my calves were sore (💃🏼), and listen to their stories ❤️
These women are so welcoming, loving, generous, bold, strong and courageous and my heart is full of love for them and South Sudan from my short time there.
We were able to finish off our trip by going on a safari, boat ride on the Nile River and stood on top of Murchison Falls to see more of God’s creation and creatures!
God is doing a mighty thing in South Sudan and through the women there!

Got to be reunited with my best friend after almost 7 years and it felt so good!

You always would beat me in every race we ran together - so I’m not surprised you beat me in the race to get to heaven first. I just wish you weren’t so fast.
