@runner2207 Shashwat is an engineer from Bangalore left his corporate job and moved to the mountains to train and become a world-class athlete.
He has run numerous races of repute, won a bunch of podiums and course records, and continues to live like a sage and train like a beast in the mountains.
He’s a fascinating person with an unconventional story, and unusually large ambitions.

Oh, there were immense highs, dreams came true. A few lows, definitely, but that was far outweighed by the learnings and experiences along the way.
Looking back at the hermit lifestyle with a singular goal in mind: Running a million feet of elevation gain. Rewarding indeed.
Process, grind, journey blah blah all seem vacuous statements. Both online and offline. Enough. Action speaks louder than words. 🤫
2022 was a mixed bag. Continuing where I left off:
1. Rinjani 162km - third 🥉
2. Mawla 75km - 4️⃣th
3. Solang 100km - 4️⃣th
4. Nine peaks, South Korea 124km - 4️⃣th
5. Malnad 100km - first 🥇
6. Jumping gorilla 100km - first🥇
Tor des Glaciers 450k and Asia trail finals in Philippines were events which didn't go as envisioned. There are some things we have no control over - I have learnt to accept that 🤷♂️. What I could do was log about a million feet of elevation gain. More than the races, it's training that's all-encompassing. Giving up is not an option, no sir.

Posting this once and for all. I have zero interest in this social media narcissism. The proverbial chest-thumping and oh-look-at-me attitude prevalent makes me cringe.
I am an athlete and I believe in performances. Last 5 races, 5 podiums. Here you go:
1. Nainital trail ultra 50k, Sept. 2021 🥈
2. Solang sky ultra 100k, Oct. 2021 🥇
3. Jumping gorilla trail 120k, Jan. 2022 🥇
4. Lahaul snow marathon 42k, Mar. 2022 🥇
5. Kathmandu valley rim 110 miles, April 2022 🥉
I have many big races lined up this year, and any support would go a long way in achieving my goals. Feel free to reach out, I will not disappoint 🙏. I believe in No excuses. Actions speak louder than words 🤫
