TOKYO MARATHON 2025 🇯🇵
Clocked: 3:57:51
5th World Major Done! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yesterday’s marathon was a true test of resilience…a reminder that our body can push through tough moments when the mind is strong! The real challenge began after 27-28 km, when the heat and the relentless sun made every incline feel like a hill. I was on pace, running smart and even managed a half marathon PB by 2 minutes! But with no personal hydration allowed and the chaotic water stations, grabbing a cup without losing momentum was a challenge..and I did lose pace.
With cooler weather, this could have been a different race, but I accept what was meant to be. Despite the hurdles, I’m proud of how I ran till 28k..it gave me the confidence that with a few changes, I can reach my goals. I will not give up.
For now, though, my body deserves a break. ( I am going to turn 53 next month!🤪)with Five marathons in 15 months, with back-to-back sub-4s except New York! It’s time to recover, rebuild, and come back stronger next year.
Grateful for the opportunity to run this race, to experience Tokyo, and to finish safely with a smile. ❤️🙏
Thank you

To my family and especially Arjun, my rock…even when my training disrupts our time together, your support means everything. ❤️
