Today is World Migratory Bird Day. We are very proud to be a Bird Friendly Sugarbush. This means we manage the forest to be excellent habitat for birds, both migratory and resident. We see owls, turkeys, woodpeckers, and all the Little-Brown-jobs you can imagine. (We don't see this little fella in the picture, but his cousin the Ruby Throated hummingbird is here every summer.) Maple is really special in that it provides habitat and the very best pancake topper around. Don't forget to spoil Mom tomorrow.
Our take on a classic Clover Club replaces the raspberry syrup with our naturally-sweetened Maple Grenadine. We call it the âCambridge Clubâ in honor of our sugarbush in Cambridge, Vermont.
CAMBRIDGE CLUB
â 1.5 oz Barr Hill Gin @barrhillgin
â .75 oz fresh lemon juice
â .75 oz Runamok Maple Grenadine
â 1 egg white
Add ingredients to a shaker. Dry shake to froth egg white. Add ice and shake again until well chilled. Double strain into a coup glass and serve.

And that is it for the 2026 season. Though we are still getting a little sap in, the quality and quantity are not enough to boil. Overall, it was not a record-breaking crop for us, but it was pretty good and we are grateful. Now the woods crew begins the process of removing all 111,000 taps from the Cambridge and Bolton sugarbushes. A big shout-out goes to the woods and boil crews for all of their hard work over the past 4 months.
