Reception and Artist Talk this Saturday! Naturally Curious, a solo exhibition by Minnesota artist and educator Kelly Meyer @kellymeyerart . This special exhibition celebrates the creativity, growth, and unique voices of our incredible student artists of all ages. There is still space open in our one-time workshop: Wheel Thrown Pottery Faceted Vessels on Saturday, May 9, 1-3pm. This adaptable workshop with Comstock will cover throwing and faceting techniques for vessels with geometric faces. If you have ever wondered what this tool is for or been inspired by the work of Guillermo Cueller, Gay Smith, or Hiroshi Toyofuku (pictured respectively), then this workshop is for you! Open to all students who have tried their hand at the wheel at least once. You will come away with 2 clear-glazed faceted functional vessels that merge the best of wheel and handbuilding techniques as well as a skill you can apply to future mugs, vases, and sculptures.
