2025 taught me a lot. mostly that love isn’t proven by effort, explaining or holding on tighter. because love sees through performance. there’s nothing you can say or do to create it or save it. trying only turns love into something managed instead of lived. love is revealed through presence, restrain and honesty, even when it hurts. presence meant staying instead of fixing or explaining. restraint meant not reaching for relief just to escape discomfort. honesty meant speaking the truth without trying to control how it landed. i learned how i abandon myself when i chase certainty. how easy it is to use connection as distraction, when the nervous system is reaching for regulation, not intimacy, to fill the void instead of sitting with the grief asking to be felt. i learned the importance of containment, of having enough internal structure to hold emotion without spilling it everywhere. of taking my raw edges to my brothers first, where i can be met, challenged, and integrated, so i don’t bring unintegrated emotion into places that deserve steadiness. that safety isn’t created through intensity or closeness alone, but through steadiness, clarity, and consistency. letting an old identity die. releasing the future i was clinging to. being patient in the quiet, uncomfortable space before the next version fully forms. not acting on every urge for connection or reassurance. staying with discomfort long enough for truth to surface. allowing my system to recalibrate, reorganize, and reorient without rushing toward certainty or a new label. that choosing myself will sometimes be misunderstood. that boundaries can look like selfishness to people who benefited from my self-abandonment. how grief sharpens truth instead of destroying it. how slowing down rebuilt parts of me that hustling never could. 2025 stripped me. and in the quiet, something steadier emerged. 2026 for me is about structure. taking what was rebuilt internally and giving it form externally. living in a way that feels sustainable, grounded and honest, so the vision has somewhere to land. still learning. still becoming. grateful for the lessons, even the ones that cost me. red xx
