In hundreds or thousands of years, when “Octagraminians” finally invade Earth, or engage diplomatically, people will look back into history and say: dang, our predecessors always knew it was coming

I’m seriously considering visiting my hometown next year since it’s been like 8 years, but I heard the visa officers might check my social media. So here it is dear officer. As you can see I’m quite legit and just doing my thing. I pay my tax, love my neighbor and look exactly like the passport photo….okay maybe slightly more glowing but that’s mostly just the lighting
Today my ongoing multidisciplinary installation, Picky Eden: Genesis I, debuted at @digianagroup group show Matsuri. I trained a custom AI model using commodity apples imagery from groceries/ markets websites (like Whole Foods, Instacart etc..) and generated this “generality of applenees” sequence, along with a splash of 3D pipeline self-revealing. If you are wondering why the title sounds biblical, stay tuned for Picky Eden: Genesis II, coming soon.
I truly appreciate the invitation from @seungjin888@digianagroup and feel so lucky to be showing alongside so many amazing artists in the lineup :)
