Tá Fechado?!* Exhibition room sheet for the graduating class of the Communication Design program at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto, 2020-2024. Final year exhibitions traditionally focus on the theme of “the end” but this one takes a different approach. It celebrates the journey—the ongoing pursuit of results. This exhibition piece reflects the unique “process” experienced by this particular generation, who began their university journey during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their first impact with university life was through a computer screen, so unlike previous generations, their course portfolios are not physical, but digital. Scarf for 48 (Quarenta e Oito) an underground trap/rap music collective. The design reinterprets an earlier project where we developed a custom typeface inspired by Boavista: A Axadrezada. Bringing it into this context felt like the right moment to revisit and transform that exploration. The typeface plays with the relationship between function and visual stain, often creating a sense of ambiguity in the details while maintaining clarity in the bigger picture. Poster Award for the International Year of Cooperatives – 2025 | by CASES in July 2025 In 2025, the International Year of Cooperatives, CASES launched a competition for the creation of a poster featuring the message “Cooperatives build a better world,” aimed at promoting the cooperative movement. The objective was to place the message at the center of the piece, strengthening the relationship between text and image through its graphic presence and attitude. The exploration began with the only characters within the word that truly “cooperate” on equal terms, symbolically creating a sense of group and unity. I was also interested in the expressive potential of exaggerating this component, introducing a new visual attitude that highlights the tension between unity and the collective, concepts that are deeply aligned with cooperativism. The poster also incorporates a legacy of visual poetry combined with a manifesto-like stance. The message adapts to any format, transforming into a living organism capable of adjusting, cooperating, and comunicativo with the greatest possible intensity. The chosen typeface is Geist, as it embodies cooperative ideals: it is open-source and accessible to all, reinforcing the notion of sharing and collective participation. 📸 @iris_afsilva @ruimarques__ . #theptdesign #graphicdesign #posterdesign #typosters

A poster created for the article “Hive of Queens” written by Dina Gligo as part of the Shared Visions project. Its purpose is to translate the conceptualization of the operational sectors and the philosophy behind the European artists’ cooperative currently being developed within the SV initiative. The visual exercise in this poster is based on the structural model that categorizes the art system into different domains. Each of these categories is represented as a component of a shared ecosystem, placed in spatial relation to one another. The visual perspective was to create a space through the organization of information, a spatial interval that allows creation to occur around the values that define this system. By shaping the typography into a dimensional composition, the poster proposes a working field where the viewer can navigate the interdependencies of art production. Instead of presenting these values as fixed or hierarchical, the layout encourages interpretation, repositioning, and reflection on how artistic practices are produced, communicated, and received. Future Days - Edition 2 Around this time last year I found out about a lovely and exciting project, called @futuredays.io Not long after that, @uricasademont , @lydiacaldana @merisahade and the rest of the FD team invited me to come on board as Creative Director for the brand. It was incredible to organise the first ever edition together. What a thrilling experience to be able to see it all come to life. And now we're gearing to the second edition in late april 2025. With that, we decided to take a step back, evolve the brand a little in order to set it up for the next 10 years, and created a new concept and visual identity for this year's edition. We launched the 2025 edition last week at @withcompany in Lisbon, it was great to see everyone there and show this at the event. This is only the first step of many to come! 💥 So watch this space. The biggest of thankyous to the talented and relentless collaborators in this project @fatelaz and @ruimarques__
