If you’re lucky enough, you’ll find your perfect match when they’re a puppy but it’s really no matter. You’ll grow roots that run deep and bind strong over a lifetime. The trouble is the years roll by fast for a dog who’s just so busy living. That’s why there isn’t a moment to waste. We might see it coming and do what we can to get ready but it hurts the heart just the same. When sunset comes it’s a heartbreak deeper than any ocean and you'll grieve like the hole will never fill again. Then something marvelous happens. The circle turns and the seasons change. It’s not a healing; more like your heart grows bigger than before and there’s new rooms to share. That’s how it was for me after losing Moxie.
