Leslie Rudd, our founder, had a vision of creating a scholarship program that would #GiveBack to the state of Kansas where he grew up. He wanted to help those who help themselves, those who pursued dreams and make an impact in their communities.
In 2018, a few days before his passing, he read about the first cohort of 20 Rudd Scholars. Today, over 200+ scholarships have been awarded, an investment of over 10 million dollars. He would be very proud of what the program has become and the #RuddScholars that make the #RuddScholarFamily.
Today, his vision stands stronger than ever.
With the addition of the Keeper of the Plains statue to our property, we’re reminded of something bigger than a single moment. The Keeper has long stood a symbol of strength, resilience, and watchful guidance over Kansas. Now, it stands alongside a program built on those same values.
From the first 20 scholars in 2018 to more than nearly 300 and growing, Mr. Rudd’s impact continues to reach further than he could have ever seen.
This month, we remember our founder Mr. Leslie Rudd and celebrate his lifetime of hard work and achievements. His legacy lives through each scholar who continues to lead with #Grit, give back to their communities, and honor the opportunities he made possible.
