I kept forgetting to post this, but here is a quick study of a very cute cabin with some very cute friends @soniaaart_ and @duck_duck_books 💖 Few weeks ago some friends and I spent a lovely weekend at this extremely gorgeous house in the woods. It’s the cutest house ever! We play games, cooked, did yoga, went on hikes, and just goofing around like we always do. It was so fun and so relaxing, definitely what I needed for the longest time. I love and appreciate my friends willing to be vulnerable with each other, not afraid to share their thoughts and feelings, and can be silly together 😌 I really wanted to document this wonderful moment using my painting studies, but there were too many angles I wanted to paint, so I ended up being greedy and painted so many studies and each one ended up a little rushed lol. This is my late Lightbox appreciation post 😆 Thank you everybody for coming to my Lightbox talk. The weekend was so fun and so crazy, I ended up feeling so much more loved than before. I had prepared so much on this presentation, and I wanted to bring light and humor into this seriously hard conversation. And i was so happy that everybody laughed on every jokes and silly stuff I designed 😭 it’s the best feeling! Life is silly so let’s be silly together, right? I had a huge allergic reaction a day before the talk, and I didn’t sleep at all due to the allergy and nervousness. I even cried a little before my talk lol ( why Ruby why??? ) after all these years I’m still struggling with confidence. While I was hiding an hour before the talk, all my friends came to me for support. You guys are the best people on earth, I love each one of you so so much. You made me felt so much better. And the talk went smoothly! Hurrays! Also I think part of it was because @chrishamandeggs was a really cool and chill person. He was the kindest friend, the best moderator, and the funniest person. Can’t do it without him 😌 thank you Chris you are the best!!! And thanks to the people who messaged and emailed me about my talk. Hey everybody! I’m doing a talk at @lightboxexpo this year ✨💖✨💖 I’m super excited but extremely nervous about this whole thing haha, but I want to make my talk as silly, fun, and informative as possible. The topic is “Visualizing Possibilities: The Art of NOT Landing Gracefully”. I’ve done so many different things and projects before I finally landed in the animation industry after graduation. It took a long time, and there were so many struggles, tears, and hardships on this whole journey. Plus being an international person, things were very hard to navigate. This talk is to hopefully help navigate your journey a little bit easier. Things don’t always work out perfectly, and what can we do if things don’t work out right away? What can we do to make the best of our time and still grow as an artist no matter what.
