Portraits of Bria taken in the backyard back in April, 2024. πβ¨
A little late on sharing, but felt like her 30th birthday was an appropriate day to finally post this short and sweet shoot. #makeportraits
To balance the sad, an appreciation post for the most magical group of mermaids ππ I am so grateful to have found community in a group of courageous and kind ladies who are willing to go dip in the cold cold water and give it all away to the ocean.
Miss you always, Charles π€
Today marks eight years. In some ways, time can be healing. But in other ways itβs just more distance between a time and place when we were both in this world together. Iβve spent a lot of that time thinking about regret, about words not said and time I could have spent with you. That has started to fade and evolve into grief for the future. I grieve the trips to the lake we could have taken together and night dips youβll miss with our cousins. Every time I am at a concert, I think about how much you might have enjoyed standing beside me. I wish you could invite me over for dinner in an apartment of your own. Or that I could pick up the phone just to catch up and complain about work. Iβll continue to try to appreciate all the simple everyday moments enough for us both, little brother.
β¨ The faces of Sweet Thursdays π
Not only are Lydia and Tim the loveliest friends, they also generously host a community gathering every summer Thursday in their backyard, filled with chicken wings, children climbing trees and good spirits. It has become one of our most beloved summer traditions and helped us find our SLO people.
Shoutout to @ianyourface for helping me battle the winds to make this set-up last through the night. And also a special thanks to @kaybee_333 - our former next-door neighbor who gave us the best farewell gift of introducing us to this crew π
