This quirky vintage armchair had an accident during my clients’ move into their Balmain terrace and suffered a broken arm. Already requiring new foam from twenty years of constant use and a fully reconstructed base, my client sort help in having it repaired and reupholstered in the existing tribal fabric. Not only was it her husband‘s favourite chair, but it was a statement piece in her old house and to extend its life and to make it ergonomically comfortable we had it collected by my upholsterer for an overhaul. He replaced the worn out seat foam, repaired the fabric and re-glued the broken arm to make it structurally sound. This vintage armchair is unique and originally came from Ruby Star Traders and was a cherished piece for their family. Swipe to see the extent of the work required.
