This year, I knew I had improved knew I had learned more about competing I guess I’m only realizing how much now. All I wanted was to do better then last year maybe make a few heats. I didn’t make a single heat then. This year to my surprise. R1 H1 I had a heat win. I stayed in Main Round till R4. I made it to finals day in Reps 6 we’re I got knocked out leaving me in 11th in the end. It’s safe to say I’m pretty proud myself 😂🙈 only 2 years competing hopefully few more to come. I’m learning so much every event and hope to continue to and hopefully to come back and do it all again :) Amazing as a team we finished 12th!! Whoop GO IRELAND!! 🇮🇪 GO TEAM!! 🇮🇪 Ye Rock!! :) I have to say I couldn’t have done it without the support and good laughs with my team mates @beagreenberg @tombreen2003 @weshannigan our Manager/ coach @surfedout77 who was down at the beach all day everyday answering every question I had even when I had already asked it 5 times already, helping me prep for my heads going over the plan again and again. “Stick to the plan the plan works” thank you makes a huge difference having you there. Massive thank you to @endless_fun_surfboards who got my new board ready for me while I was in Puerto Rico so I had a month to surf it in before leaving. Taking the time to talk to me endlessly about the changes from last model, progress in making the board and after checking in constantly about how it was going. Your legend bro :) Thank you to everyone, all the friends and family who supported the fundraisers so the trip could be possible. Love see you all in my moms hats :) All the messages and support received through the comp felt the love across the world 💚🤍🧡 And of course My mom having the candle lit everyday! 🙏 My dad calling after every heat to say how well he’d thought I done. 🥹💚 Also thank you to @nedosheaconstruction @parkgatecoffee @rebelfins @grown_clothing @jamieknoxwatersports @irishsurfingassociation @eatallreal supported me at this event And absolutely fantastic event by @isasurfing @surfcity

Meet your coaches for the Winki Waves x Ruby Knox Longboard Clinic. 🌊 From 5–7 June, Ruby Knox is joining us in Donegal for a small, focused longboard coaching weekend at the lodge. Ruby brings beautiful style and serious competitive experience — Irish Longboard Champion and EuroSurf 2025 bronze medalist. Alessandro, founder of Winki Waves, will be coaching alongside Ruby, bringing 6+ years of surf coaching, experience from seasons around the world, and winters spent learning from Australian waves around Bells Beach. Sunshine, pumping waves, and an unreal crew. Epic longboard clinic at Lost Shore Surf Resort — everyone pushing out of their comfort zones, improving, and trying something new. Here’s a little snippet of what we got up to. Such a great place to run coaching sessions. Between the wave quality, performance facilities, and the chance to get so many repetitions in, it makes for seriously high-quality progression. Thanks @lostshore for having us. This crew brought such a high level of surfing. We worked on refining noserides, smoother transitions from cross-stepping into turns, fundamentals and so much more throughout the sessions! Great to meet you all :) thank you for great time. Looking forward to the next one!!

I’m excited to announce another Longboarding Clinic this year — this time at Lost Shore, Edinburgh, on 28th & 29th April. This clinic is designed to support longboarders of all levels, with coaching tailored to where you’re currently at. Across the two days, we’ll focus on setting achievable personal goals, refining technique, and building the skills needed to progress your longboarding. Using the perfect longboard wave, we’ll cover everything from core fundamentals to the finer details required for smooth, stylish surfing and a more critical noseride. Each day includes two coached sessions, along with video analysis and feedback, so you can break down your surfing and improve on both lefts and rights. We’ll also make plenty of time to chat about all things longboarding throughout the clinic. RHYTHMS 1/3 ‘Rhythms’ follows surfboard shaper Baptiste Taffet as he build’s a relationship with Irish surfer Ruby Knox through crafting custom longboards for her. The film explores Baptiste’s devotion to his craft, the sense of community surrounding his workshop in Bundoran, and the artistry he pours into each board. A reflection of both his passion for shaping and Ruby’s spirit for surfing. The film originally premiered at the 2024 @irishsurffilmfestival and has been re-edited into a mini series ✨ Part 2 coming soon. Shot and edited by Alice Ward
