Last month I was pregnant.. and now I am not. I struggled back and forth about how open I would be about my miscarriage experience but in the end I decided that transparency felt the most ethical as a doula. Women feel alone when this happens to them because of the culture of not really talking about it and I wanted to help break that cycle.
When I was in the thick of it a few weeks ago, I couldn’t get out of bed with the heating pad for a full day and in that time was meditating on the structure for the voice lessons I had started to offer. I wanted to combine trauma informed energy work and healing for the womb and throat while also focusing on singing and what a normal voice coaching session would be like.
I was so emotional and grieving that day, but I posted about the voice sessions on Threads just explaining my methodology and wasn’t expecting much of it. There were two comments when I went to bed.
I woke up to it going viral. I didn’t know the world was so in need for someone who would combine healing work with the voice. And at the same time, it made so much sense. In every traumatic life event, music has always saved me. That’s why I created this FourthVoice method. When we embody our truest voice, we can ground into the truest most authentic form of ourselves and our souls.

on a personal level, I am grateful to be a new dog mom and that I get to wake up and eat french toast with my favorite person and watch jennifer’s body in the morning because I work late nights now and have the most unconventional schedule. I am almost done reading Yesteryear by @caroclaireburke also and highly recommend for anyone in a book slump.

We are working on resource guarding and trading high value toys for treats this week because she was abandoned and left without resources/food for quite a while. She can’t have her lamb chop back yet because she gets a little growly. But, she loves her kitty cat sister! Also loves meeting new people and making friends! Her great grandpa might be her favorite.
Winnie is slowly coming around but hates the plastic cone so once that is off next week I’m excited to see them play more, hopefully 🥹
Sara is SUPER smart and observant of people and highly trainable/wants to learn and use her brain so I really think the rottie is mixed with australian shepherd or border collie.. or both 🙃
We are very grateful to have her in our lives.

About a year ago I had a bag of clothes packed in my car and I was making plans to crash in different guests rooms and couches until I figured out where I was going to land. My life completely turned upside down. When I was driving around, this song was on repeat a lot of the time.
During that process of crashing in different places and working 24 hour shifts at the hospital I wrote a song called “blame” because I didn’t trust my own intuition about a person and it bit me hard. And that song is coming out this month! finally! After being a year old. It feels like lifetimes ago.
But if you’re driving around in your car crying or if you don’t know where you’re going to sleep at night just know that things will get better. Never stop believing in yourself. Never stop believing in love. Keep your heart open. Stay true to who you authentically are. Create and express where and when you feel safe. You can manifest anything and there’s always a bigger plan that we can’t see in the moment sometimes. 🖤
