Over the seas to the isle of Arran via 3 ferries from the Isle of Bute. Made it to the top of Goatfell, Arran’s highest peak. Fitted in Arran’s Rock’n’Blues festival & got to meet our trombone player Lucas’s family there, Max, Jamie & Ben. Jamie climbed the mountain with us.

Back on the road. . Summer starts for us in Bonnie Scotland on the Isle of Bute. May Day. May 1st at Bute Yard in Rothesay & here at Mount Stuart House. One of Scotland ms grandest stately homes, the first house in Britain to have electric lighting.. we test drive two new tunes based on traditional Scottish Ceilidh music. As predicted, went down a storm. Introducing three new players to the band, @originalpandiva on vocals & steel pan. 16 year old trumpeter William ‘Billy the Kid’ Longhurst & his father Matthew on 2nd fiddle. Guitarist @marcus_upbeat somehow managed to evade capture in this group photo as did Accordionist Becky Glover. Yes 13 Trojans & our group photographer @rubyflashman

Great to meet an incredible man , so here is a little bit of history to you : Leslie “Teacher” Palmer MBE is the visionary Trinidadian community activist and musician widely credited with transforming the Notting Hill Carnival from a small local gathering into the massive, globally recognized event it is today.
