🙏🏿 Photo By @lastkeyfilms #TeamNDO #Humacao #PuertoRico #Boxeo #Campeones JoséCheoAponte NDO Boxing Champion

Bag burnout with @nyousha_ and @rubyb.ox at the end of team training. Our vets are always helping develop those younger than them who are trying to follow in their footsteps. Always generous with their knowledge, presence, and experience. This is the culture I deeply believe in - those older to leave their shirt behind for those younger. Making a mark at the club by not what you personally accomplished, but by how many you uplifted behind you. 📍East Van · 📍PoCo #boxingbag #heavybagworkout #boxinglife

📌 WHY PEOPLE STAY We take boxing seriously. We don’t take ourselves seriously. Yeah the training is hard. Yeah our members are working toward real goals. But if you’ve ever peeked at a class here you’ve seen the same thing — people laughing, goofy banter with coaches, making jokes between rounds. That’s the culture. Always has been. That’s why people stay. Boxing is serious enough, let’s have some fun. 🥊 Come see for yourself — East Vancouver or Port Coquitlam 💻 Or train with us online at QB Online #boxinggym #vancouverboxing #portcoquitlamboxing

What we can’t control - judging decisions and referee calls. What we can control - working hard consistently so you can be proud of what you left in the ring. I’m so proud that this group takes ownership of what they can control - being in love with the process, understanding what they did well, and doing the work that needs to be done next. Part of enjoying the process is finding fun in a Nationals week that can be a pressure cooker - a lesson I learned the hard way as an athlete. I am overjoyed to have a team that really had fun this week, made some great memories, and supported each other deeply. We have the priviledge to guide great athletes AND great humans. Overcoming adversity and building resilience doesn’t have to come with scars. Beyond excited to keep watching these young athletes explore and grow.

This success story is one of my favourites. From binge/purge cycles ➡️ to confidence and peace around food. From “unexplained” weight-gain and “stubborn metabolism” ➡️ a body that is willing and happy to give her the results she’s earned. From feeling anxious about dinners out, family meals and holidays ➡️ to having strategies in place to deal with both the physical and emotional side of social eating. From feeling like she was never going to get her goals achieved ➡️ to now accepting she deserved to reach her goals and her results are sustainable. It starts in the mind. The body will follow ❤️ You too can beat food-based fear, escape the prison it can create and reach your goals! #fitnessmotivation #inspiringstory #strongwomen #amazingresults #nutritionist

Team CAN training camp done 🇨🇦✅ Feeling ready and sharp for what’s coming. Dealing with a small injury so I couldn’t spar, but still had so much fun and learned a lot as always 📈 Always grateful to train with the national team, thank you coaches for everything and to the athletes for the great work 🙏 Only way from here 🔝

Simple constraints force better jumps. Med-ball slam → vertical jump teaches my younger athletes to make force go down so they go up. Pogo hops → jump squat increases ground contact force time and tolerance. Short contacts. High intent. The body self-organizes when the task is organized the right way. That’s I help my young athletes learn fast without overthinking.

This is what real training looks like. Different ages. Different stages. Same standards. Beginners, youth, and national-level athletes all train in the same room — with structure, coaching, and intent. That’s how confidence is built.
