Some moments of creative connection that I've experienced recently
The exhibition at the whitworth with my dad
Fabric spray painting with
@sambarrrr and
@unlikelysmoggie
A catch up with old friends in the afflecks anime café captured by Ysé while
@maxi_miles Mochi and I reconnected
A piece of artwork that encaptivated me enough to want to buy it by
@harryfrost
A cunty pigeon
When you got close to this blue painting you could read that she had written in big bold black letters "I'M GLAD I DIDN'T DIE", I relate
The dried flower sconces were ominous and nostalgic
Got to see the famous Hokusai print of the The Great Wave off Kanagawa in
@whitworthart
I liked this print of people running through rain sheltering under their Sugegasa. It reminded me of being caught in rainstorms in Vietnam, the torrential monsoon rainstorms during a hike through Nepal and the sensation of warm rain on my skin. Both stressful and soothing.
The results of my exercise in letting go at
@dariaa.pro
move and draw workshop in collaboration with
@dipactmcr @factory_international
Got to see the
@plastic_shed bottle cap mural in Stockport on my way to buy frames from an antique charity shop
Impulsively went to see
@ashgavs perform live in Manchester for the second time. Her latest stand up set hit topics of gender discovery and dysphoria as a masc lesbian going through fertility treatment and it was refreshing to see and funny to hear about her experience
I couldn't help but feel the jingle jangle noise that the dress made out of tags would make if you bounced while wearing it. That's a sensory good noise in my imagination
@laurenchapmanart pulled off a weird and wonderful exhibition
@seesawspace .
The goat and skull playing chess were a painting in real life when the artists activated this installation. The joy in this frogs movements during
@ruby_tingle set were a highlight for me.
I adore the new street art popping up near me
