I would now love to introduce you to the amazing @rubyandthecannons who will also be supporting me! 🥹🌼 The first time I heard Ruby’s music I was blown away and quickly became part of my playlists that I listen to on repeat.
Ruby and the Cannons is a four piece indie rock outfit from Melbourne, drawing on a mix of influences from each member, spanning from Fleetwood Mac to The Brian Jonestown Massacre, with a nod to 1970s rock sensibilities. Their 2023 self-titled EP Ruby and the Cannons introduced the band’s collaborative songwriting, balancing varied inspirations without leaning on any single style.
They have performed across Melbourne venues and appeared at Laneway Festival in 2023, bringing their songs into live settings. A self-produced full-length album is planned for late 2026, reflecting the combined perspectives and tastes of the four members while continuing to explore their evolving sound.

What a ride!
When I moved to Melbourne in early 2023, I knew I wanted to explore the music scene just as much as I wanted to explore this city, and this amazing country that is Aus.
I love this place, and I love its music.
Honestly… I don’t know if I’d even have a personality without it.
The first pic? An early hand-drawn pic of what the logo might look like…back when I had no idea what the show’s format would be. I’d just wrapped up hosting Big Smoke Music Weekly in the UK (80+ artists interviewed), and soon the idea of the Dream Gig Venue was born. My man Lenny from DICE stepped up as the first guest 🙌
