THE EDGE OF AMUSEMENT
Nơi lũ trẻ nhảy xuống, chẳng rõ đó là dũng cảm
hay chỉ vì chưa từng biết sợ là gì.
Nơi chúng ta cũng từng đứng đó — do dự, tim đập thình thịch —
rồi lao mình xuống.
Liệu mọi thứ xảy ra có xứng đáng?
Liệu nhận những tình cảm này là xứng đáng?
Liệu chúng ta sinh ra… để đau khổ một lần?
Mọi thứ thay đổi theo thời gian.
Cái mới thay thế cái cũ.
Cái cũ nhường chỗ rồi bị lãng quên.
Chỉ có hiện tại vẫn ương bướng, chày cối —
Phải tan nát, phải trọng tội thì mới di chuyển.
Như một con đèo.
Cua gắt. Khó lái. Đầy thử thách.
Đến lúc người ta phải đục núi làm hầm.
Tôi — trở thành một lỗ hổng để xe dễ đi qua.
Nhưng…
Một ngày nào đó, chiếc hầm cũng lãng quên.
Sụp đổ.
Không ai còn đụng chạm.
Người ta phớt lờ.
Chỉ còn cái tên — chạm vào ký ức xưa… rồi nhạt dần.
Vậy liệu từng thử thách, từng tan nát và sự lãng quên ấy… có xứng đáng?
Người ta xứng đáng khi họ đạt được điều gì đó —
tự tay mình tạo ra.
Tự nhận mình xứng đáng.
Nhưng nếu không xứng đáng?
Nếu cuộc đời là một màn đánh đố?
Nếu ta lỡ:
lỡ duyên,
lỡ cơ hội,
lỡ nghĩ rằng mình không xứng với bất cứ điều gì?
Gia đình, bạn bè, những người thân cận…
Họ biết hết hành vi của ta,
và họ coi đó là một phần của ta.
Một phần làm nên ta.
Một phần của phong cách, của hoàn cảnh.
Vậy rốt cuộc… bạn có xứng đáng không?
Ngay lúc này —
Tôi có một chút.
Vì tôi đã đi làm,
mang trách nhiệm lên vai,
cố gắng hoàn thành,
tạo một chút giá trị để đời. #jimmyartdevier
"Glitchy Family Life: Quarantine Chronicles" is more than just a collection of photographs; it is a reflection of a unique moment in history. Through this project, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the power of storytelling and the role of creativity in documenting everyday experiences.
The process of revisiting and curating family photographs ( inspired by @titi_wanderer ) has been both nostalgic and enlightening, granting me a new perspective on how we navigated the challenges of quarantine.
As I reflect on this project, I am reminded of the importance of finding joy and connection even in the most challenging circumstances. The moments captured in these photographs are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring bonds of family.
I hope this project inspires others to reflect on their own experiences and discover beauty and meaning in the everyday moments that shape our lives.

Is there a lonelier place in Saigon than the bus stop? None of us there shares the same specific, complex thoughts, fears, or dreams. We aren't always hoping for the same number bus to appear in the distant traffic.

Lắng Nghe Điểm Chạm (@langnghediemcham ) is a project aiming to expand exposure opportunities and application potentials of performing arts into the life of marginalized and minority communities of Vietnam.
The initiative is created by Thân Nghiệm Club and Saigon Theaterland (@saigontheatreland ), and supported by the Goethe-Institut as well as HUTECH University. By its second season, the project has explored dance and movement with artists-in-training from Saigon’s Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, in collaboration with hearing artists-in-training and local sign language interpreters.
