Was thinking it’d occur to me how to memorialize this residency experience at some point… but 367 days later here we are.. still hoping Fay, Ruby, Loy will capture this thus poignantly in a film one day. Was pretty much a bunch of angels frolicking around (except when it wasn’t lol). I miss everyone in these pics terribly and Patrick posing for Carly painting Caela will forever be the pinnacle of humor as far as I’m concerned. Chateau love forever ♾️
Earlier this month we hosted a party at our home where art, design, food, plants, film, music and dear friends intersected. We moved our furniture outside and created a gallery inside to showcase Barbara Levesque’s stunning artwork for her debut show - Southern Gothic.
Grateful for this talented, creative, kind, thriving austin community.
Cheers to finishing out 2025 with a bang!

This Thanksgiving I’m grateful for all of the more seasoned women in my life (and in particular to the one who birthed me). I’ve always connected well with older women, especially educated, chic, active, and adventurous ones.
This has been such a consistent trend that my sister has made fun of me for it for years. Writes a longtime friend in New York: “Chris, you are such a baubie.” (it’s true that in my immediate past life I was in fact a Jewish grandma — maybe it’s the astrological Cancer energy).
Even though there’s never been any parallel to a Mrs. Robinson sort of situation (for reasons simply beyond the purview of this post), the connection with women is so effortless and organic (even symbiotic!) — spoiling relatives, teachers (shout-out to Chase, Ms. Gasperoni, as well as Mrs. Weber and Ms. Hickey from preschool!), lunch moms, friends’ moms, friends from art galleries and volunteering, family friends, work friends, political friends, globetrotting friends from salsa nights, folk music idols dressed in colorful eclectic ensembles, and otherwise.
I guess what I’m really trying to say is that if I were ever, you know, theoretically, to run for office, I might win the female 40+ demographic by 50 points (at least!).
It may not have created a lasting relationship yet, but nice boy vibes are 🔥. God bless the world’s women, and foremost to the one who’s somehow dealt with my stubborn streak the longest: Mom.
May you, your family, and friends enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving — and remember to tune in to the song in which this holiday is immersed (Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant Massacre”).
