Introducing CAKE Conversations! A new series where we dive into the worlds of our creatives. First up is photographer Romy Treebusch (
@rtreebusch ), whose work revolves around building sets and constructing images from the ground up.
Working primarily in the studio, she creates environments where light, colour and material come together to form something entirely her own. “Set building gives me authorship. It allows me to shape the environment and construct the visual language of the image from the ground up. In that way the photograph becomes less about capturing reality and more about inventing it” she says. Take a look at some of her inspiring worlds.
