The NASA raves (Nocturnal Audio Sensory Awakening) were a short-lived but highly influential Friday-night party in early-1990s NYC, founded by DB Burkeman and Scott Osman at the Shelter club.
They stood out for bringing underground rave culture into a semi-legitimate club setting while keeping a strong focus on cutting-edge electronic music like techno, house, breakbeat, and ambient, helping introduce U.S. audiences to sounds that were already exploding in Europe.
Artists like Moby, Aphex Twin, LTJ Bukem, The Prodigy and Orbital had their big break during this period, ultimately serving as a key bridge between underground rave scenes and the future mainstream explosion of electronic dance music in the United States. #AphexTwin #Moby #TheProdigy

Purchased from the late @madd_vintage in 2024. RIP Luke <3
Brian “Head” Welch, guitarist of Korn, sporting the Deftones Dickies logo rip t-shirt, bootlegged by the Deftones themselves, c. 1995.
It was never an official merch line with Dickies. However, in late 2025, Dickies decided to officially collaborate with the band to do a merch line using their iconic logo. #Korn #Deftones
Vintage Rage Against the Machine “Nuns With Guns” t-shirt, c. 1997. A tee I’ve had many opportunities to own but never pulled the trigger. Rarely ever see this on Giant Tultex tag.

Rare footage of Aphex Twin at the Tripotronic Sensory Overload rave on March 27, 1993, hosted by @joedicarlo
Unfortunately, only the first 17 seconds is Aphex material. The rest of the video is another DJ.

Rare 1993 Aphex Twin logo long-sleeve shirt.
On March 27, 1993, DJ @joedicarlo and his partner hosted Tripotronic Sensory Overload, a legendary rave held at the Column Warehouse in Baltimore. The event featured DJs from around the world, including Aphex Twin. As a gesture of appreciation, Aphex Twin himself gifted Joe this shirt.
This shirt is an early iteration of the logo t-shirt, designed by @number3__ on the Screen Stars Premium black tag, predating the ones sold via mail order in 1995-1998.
Slide 5-6: Tripotronic Sensory Overload flyer.
Slide 7: A clip of Aphex Twin at the rave.
Special thanks to @joedicarlo for giving me the opportunity to own this absolute grail!
Not for sale. #AphexTwin
Rare vintage Rage Against the Machine “Power Stems From The Barrel Of A Gun” long-sleeve shirt, c. 1993-96.
There are 2 versions of this shirt; white long-sleeve and black long sleeve. The white long-sleeve is far more rare than the white. I’ve only seen these in long-sleeve.
