MOD_OFFSET’s live performances are built around esoteric machines, improvisation and the unstable edges of electro, techno, acid and experimental / ambient music.
For him, improvisation is the point of departure: a way to explore the tensions between rhythm, harmony, texture and genre. Ideas are pushed, sometimes to the point of collapse, before being rebuilt into new forms.
MOD_OFFSET is from Ireland, based in Estonia.

Absolute cherry on top of last night was this amazing DJ set by @glitchkorts
It’s rare to hear a full set of glitch / breakcore (eg Venetian Snares) played out live as it’s intense and not for everyone, so this whole set was a treat and I thought paired perfectly with the orchestral program
there was loads of stuff I didn’t know & not ashamed to admit I was Shazamming like crazy as I’d never be able to ID it myself
Remix (original?) of Carmina Burana was a highlight!
Wasn’t planning to stay so long but it was hard to leave - kept finding the foot tapping and a big smile on my face. Pretty sure some the ERSO musicians who stayed on were into it too!
Incredible night of music by @ersoinsta with a program curated by @vambolakrigul
Music of Aphex, Pärt & Cage played back to back and seamlessly, without a conductor & often without pause.
The music & performances had me on the edge of my seat and there were some songs (Tabula Rasa & Aphex snow monkey song) that I honestly wished would never end
It’s one thing to listen to a song you love on repeat. It’s a different thing entirely to sit in front of a couple of dozen world class musicians playing each separate note of it with every bit of emotion, expressiveness, nuance and precision they have.
The best thing is the whole concert was broadcast live & recorded. I highly recommend you grab some headphones or the best speakers you have, and carve out some of your Sunday to watch it here:

Maybe will even get to posting some summer pics soon...

I used the same audio last year and to be honest, the way things are going, I might use it next year too.
Annual reminder of what a great dad Marta has and how grateful we are for that. ❤️
The monumental Linnahall was initially built as a multifunctional event venue for the Tallinn sailing regatta of the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics and named V. I. Lenin Palace of Culture and Sports. (visitestonia.ee)
It had a concert hall, an ice rink, a harbour, a heliport and cafes. At various times the building has also housed a recording studio and a nightclub.
The building was featured at the beginning of Christopher Nolan's TENET, where 3,000 extras played an audience at "Kiev Opera House".
Now it lies empty and closed to the public, but it has temporarily reopened for an art exhibition, giving us a chance to peek inside.
Unfortunately we weren't able to see the auditorium, and were restricted to one floor, but it still made for some great exploration.
