ROYCE STUDIOS' first filipiniana creation was displayed at the Power plant mall Rockwell sales lounge for ArteFino Maker's Lab 2023 alongside with other creatives last August 18 - 27, 2023.
A patchwork filipiniana bralette and a high slit saya with a tapis-like patchwork detail made with fabric scraps and cotton abaca for the skirt's base.
The look was inspired by an abstract painting called "Granadean Arabesque" by Jose Joya that showcases different shades of yellow and broad strokes.
Im so grateful for this experience and thank you for everyone who supported. Designed and created by moi mentored by Joseph Bawar. Special thanks to Hanz, Uchi and Sophia for the fabric scraps and deadstock donations.✨
