One of the best weeks of my life. I cannot overstate how grateful I feel to have spent the last 10 days playing Luke Rivers in one of my favorite cities. This experience has been a dream come true. I’m so proud of this team, my fellow cast mates, and the crew that worked so damn hard to make something truly special. I can’t wait for you to see Playback.
Shots from an expired roll of film I got from Lucas while working on Playback in Mexico City last November. Really wasn’t sure if these would even turn out, so I’m very pleasantly surprised
In November, I got a DM from @sofferchris and @armitagetrenton asking if @lucasadria.mp4 and I would be interested in making a film with them.
The idea was to marry cinematic storytelling with luxury real estate. To replace the traditional “listing video” with a narrative short film. To show what a potential life could look like in these homes.
Fast forward to April, we actually got to bring this vision to life, in one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. Written by Lucas and I, “The Duel” is the story of a father and son connecting through fencing.
We had an extremely tight turnaround. less than a month to write, produce, shoot, and edit the film. We needed an absolutely electric team and I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out. The cast and crew brought their A game, and so many people worked so hard to make it happen. Huge shoutout to @tom_bolles and @carlosramirez.iii
Directing this project brought me so much joy. Go watch The Duel on the @theivy.group page.
